Study Guide Review

Kaplan Publishing’s GMAT Complete 2017 offers an excellent package for studying the GMAT. It combines some of Kaplan’s most popular GMAT prep books in an incredibly affordable bundle, along with several valuable bonus items.

Generally, this study guide’s approach is to complement and integrate different studying styles with the aim of targeting the GMAT through a multi-faceted study approach. The package comes complete with four books: the GMAT Premier 2017 (which is also featured on our list of the best GMAT books), the GMAT 800 (9th ed.), the GMAT Math Workbook (9th ed.), and the GMAT Verbal Workbook (8th ed.). Additionally, it also offers over 2,000 practice questions complete with detailed explanations for each of the sections of the GMAT – Verbal, Quantitative, Analytical Writing, and Integrated Reasoning – along with online resources and six full length GMAT practice tests (5 Computer Adaptive Tests available online and one test available in the book).

Test takers and users of GMAT Complete can also create their own customized tests using the more than 500 questions found in the online Quiz Bank. The package further offers short video lessons of key GMAT topics as well as online study plans to help test takers plan their GMAT learning schedule.

All in all, the GMAT Complete 2017 is not, as its name suggests, a complete study guide, but definitely a very solid all-round package for studying for the GMAT. Use it together with the Official GMAC resources and Manhattan Prep’s books and you’re good to go.
