Study Guide Review

If you plan to apply to medical school starting in the fall of 2016, you will take the MCAT 2015. The MCAT 2015 will be completely redesigned. Among other big changes, there will be four new sections, more exam questions, and additional new subject matter content that will be tested.

Although the AAMC’s Official Guide to the MCAT Exam (MCAT 2015) already provides a wealth of useful information, Kaplan’s MCAT 2015: What the Test Change Means for You Now goes one step further.

This book not only describes the changes that will be introduced by the new test format and which undergraduate courses you will need, but it also provides an overview of relevant subject areas and strategic advice on how best to prepare for the exam. In addition, this study guide contains a practice test, albeit not full-length, to help you test your knowledge and get a feel for the new MCAT 2015.

In sum, while more books covering the MCAT 2015 will certainly be published in due course, Kaplan’s MCAT 2015 already does a good job at providing current premed students and future test-takers with a helpful introduction to the new test.
